Euroleague ends for Germany with a 2:3 against the Netherlands!

In the end the German team did not make it to the Final Four in Izmir after having played only two tournaments with the usual StartingSix. Against the Netherlands they had the biggest problems with their services and in the end this was not enough to win 3:1 as necessary to overtake the Greek team.

Unexpected clear! Germany : Croatia 3:0 (25:22 25:18 25:18)

The German team opened the door the final round of the European League and could step through today by winning agains the still undefeated Netherlands. While the Germans played a good match against Croatia (Christian Top-Scorer with 18 points!) the Greek team lost against the Turkey. The match against the Netherlands will be LIVE on Eurosport.

Starting with a victory in Berlin! Germany : Estonia 3:0

With a 3:0 (25:20 27:25 25:16) against Estonia Germany started into the tournament in Berlin, thus they can still reach the Final Four. Tomorrow they will have to win against Croatia (LIVE on Eurosport) and hope for a false step of the Greek team against Turkey.

Defeat in the end of the tournament! Germany : Croatia 1:3

The German team lost the last match of the tournament in Zagreb but goes into the home-tournament in Berlin as fourth of the overall ranking with a good chance to qualify for the Final-Four in Izmir.

Success goes on! Germany : Turkey 3:0 (25:22 25:22 25:21)

The German team won also the second match of the European League tournament in Zagreb. Also with a different starting six (amoung others Jochen Schöps for Christian) the success continued. After this victory the Germany team reached position 4 in the overall ranking of the European League behind the Netherlands, Croatia and Greece. Tonight at 6 pm they will play against Croatia.

In Zagreb Christian won in his first European League match this year. The staring six had some problems in the first set after not having played a match for 5 weeks, but then got much better. Christian was top-scorer with 19 points. Tonight they will play the second match against Turkey.

Second European League weekend successfull!

After two victories and a close defeat the German national team came back from the second weekend of the European League. Christian, Björn & Co are going to start playing the European League next weekend.

Practicing again! For Christian the preparation started today!

After a four-week-break for Christian the preparation for the EC-Qualification started today in Heidelberg. The younger players and some of the players who haven't played that much during the summer had already played the first European League tournament in Ankara this weekend. With 9 players of an avarange age of 22.2 years they played in Ankara against Turkey, Spain and the Netherlands but lost all matches. We don't know yet, when Christian, Björn & Co will start playing the European League.
