Did it!!!!! Sisley Treviso : Giotto Padova 1:3 (22:25 28:26 21:25 26:28)

Padova stays in the A1! The team fighted for this until the end and with the victory against Trevsio, they even jumped to the 11th position in the final ranking! The team was celebrated like they just won the ChampionsLeague. Treviso, for sure, did not fight like Padova did, but they did not give away any presents! Christian finished the close 4th set with an ace after having played a great match (23 points) and was elected MVP. Congratulations to Christian, the team, the coach, the wohle club!!

Thanks to the fans, to the Tana Bianconera in particular, who always blieved in the team and supported them!

Zona salvezza! Giotto Padova : Tiscali Cagliari 3:1

After a point won in each of the matches against Modena and Cuneo, Padova got all tree Points against Cagliari yesterday and overtakes Latina, leaving behind the second last position in the ranking. Now the last match against Treviso and the match Latina : Vibo wil decide who was to play in the A2 next year.

Giotto Padova : Lube Macerata 1:3 (16:25 16:15 25:13 18:25)

After the disappointing CEV-Cup Final Four, Padova yesterday had to face another defeat. Again the team, but Christian in particular, could not show the volleyball, they are able to play.

Christian is MVP of the month February!

In the last four matches Christian was elected MVP two times and thus this month could collect more votes than any other A1-player. He will get the award before the match against Macerata next Tuesday.

No changes in the ranking!

After the painfull defeat in Perugia, Padvoa is lucky, that also the other teams at the end of the ranking lost theri matches, so the ranking-situation did not change:

13th again! Points this weekend: Padova 0, Santa Corce 1, Cagliari 1

Padova lost the important match against Vibo Valentia 0:3 and have to give the 12th place to Santa Corce who took a point yesterdan playing 2:3 against Piacenza. Also Cagliari came closer again, because they could win one point against Cuneo. A very dissapointing weekend, but Christian and his team-mates have to concentrate on the match against Perugia next Saturday now.

"Only" one point! Montichiari : Padova 3:2 (25:23 30:28 23:25 20:25 18:16)

They wanted to fight and they did! In every set Padova had the better start, but in the end it was always very close. Christian and Björn played a gread match with 26 points each and Christian was elected MVP. Of course they are happy for this point, because Padova leaves the last two positions for the first time after 14 matches, but also two or three points would have been possible, yesterday!
