Still no points in 2007!

Padova is still waiting for the first points in 2007. With Verona recovering they really have to start winning the close sets and matches. Right now so difficult matches are in the scedule: Modena, Treviso and Macerata are waiting, but as always Padova will fight and try to give the best the can!

After the unlucky defeat in Latina Padova takes the thee very important points in the match against Verona and keeps Vibo Valentia in a 5-points-distance. Service and Block were Padova's strengths while Verona played nervous and with many mistakes. Next match is against Trento on December 30th.

Padova lost this close match and had to drive home without any points for the ranking. Christan played a great match with 29 points, got elected MVP and was the TopScorer of the whole A1 weekend but of course was not satisfied.

Victory!! Antonveneta Padova : Prisma Taranto 3:1

Padova wins their first match after the break for the World Championship in Japan. Their services were much stronger than Taranto's, serving 13 aces (6 aces for Björn Andrae and Robert Kromm).

Christian is back in Italy! Together with his national-teammates Björn Andrae and Robert Kromm he is playing for Antoveneta Padova. Right after the last EC-Qualificationmatch in the Czech Republic on Saturday they left to go back to Padova and had to play the first A1-match already on Monday against Perguia. In the beginning of the match it was easy to see, that they had been playing with the setter and also with the different ball for only one day, but the fought their team back into the match and were even close to win in the end. But they keep one point and will work hard the rest of the week to play a good match also against Modena next Sunday.
